I am Val Helmond, born and raised in Nova Scotia, namely Truro. I enjoy exploring many areas of the province and with the pandemic finally feeling over, I feel now is the time to develop this idea for a book.

Summer temperatures are pleasant from 20- 23 degrees Celsius (67-74 degrees Fahrenhiet). 30-32 degrees Celsius are rare. Fog  is frequent along the coasts.

Yes, a section of Hwy 104, known as the Cobequid Pass
